PEDESTAL STRUCTURE

I've used 16 mm. thickness MDF panels. The needed pieces are:

• 2 pieces of 460 x 100 mm
• 2 pieces ofe 200 x 100 mm
• 1 piece of 435 x 460 mm
• 2 pieces of 460 x 164 mm
• 2 pieces of 403 x 164 mm
• 2 pieces of 460 x 120 mm
• 2 pieces of 403 x 120 mm

I've divided the structure in three modules:

Modules fit easily one on others and can be unassembled quickly. For assembly I've used 8 mm wood bars, and for painting, the same colour as for the panels (RAL-7043). The inner areas are painted with white paint.

In this picture you can see the fluorescent lapms fitteed on the bottom piece, the center piece painted in white, and both together with interface cards attached:

 

 

Now we place the pedestal set on the upper piece of pedestal module. I've used 30 mm. spacers as legs. This way light will illuminate edges of panels like COMM radios:

 

We place some pieces of 5 mm. wood around the pedestal, closing the open spaces. These pieces are painted in white on the inner side too. Forward piece will hold the fire extinguishers panel:

 

Sólo nos falta ir colocando estas piezas alrededor del mueble, a la altura adecuada:

 

We have to fit the extinguishers panel module on the forward area of the pedestal module.

First we take the forward piece, fitting the extiguisher module to it. We have to make a hole in the forward piece in order to take out cables from the extinguishers panel.

And then we fit this set on the pedestal. Pedestal is ready to be installed on its final position.
